La Quinta sits at the southeastern end of the Coachella Valley, backed against the Santa Rosa Mountains in Riverside County. The city grew rapidly from the 1990s onward, fueled by the development of golf resort communities, and today has a population of over 41,000 - with that number climbing significantly in the winter months when seasonal residents arrive. The city is home to more than 20 golf courses, and a large share of its residential neighborhoods are built inside gated golf communities. The annual American Express PGA Tour event, held at PGA West, draws attention to La Quinta each January and reflects the resort character that defines much of the city's residential market.
The housing stock in La Quinta is newer than most Coachella Valley cities - the majority of homes date from the 1990s through the early 2010s - and most are single-family stucco homes with tile roofs and attached garages, built on generous lots with private pools and covered patios. Gated communities range from modest townhome complexes near the city center to large custom estate properties further up toward the mountains. Old Town La Quinta, the original downtown area around Calle Tampico, has a walkable village character that stands apart from the surrounding golf communities. We work throughout the city, from neighborhoods near Old Town La Quinta to properties along the eastern edge of the city near the border with Indio and Coachella. Our neighbors to the northwest in Palm Desert know us from that side of the valley as well.
